Continuing his remark, referring to the problems of snow removal in the capital in the past days and investigating this issue in the commission of environmental health and urban services of the Islamic Council of Tehran, Pirhadi said: Tehran has an area of ​​730 square kilometers and about 60 highways and 33 thousand main and secondary roads. .
He continued: In the city of Tehran, we see a large difference in level, also the conditions of the foothills of Tehran have caused the southern and northern regions to have a large temperature difference in different seasons and there is a steep slope in some areas.
Referring to the snow on Thursday, Pirhadi said: The snow on Thursday was heavy, which had not happened in the past several years, and we thank God for the divine mercy in the city of Tehran.
He said: This rain made a part of the lack of water in Tehran compensated, although there were some defects and some loved ones apologized.
He added: “Perhaps one of the reasons for the problems is that on Thursday, all the complexes, all the devices and all the facilities were not coordinated, but on Sunday, there was more cooperation and more complete companionship, and people reduced their unnecessary trips.”
A member of the Tehran city council said that there is room for appreciation from the people and said: On Sunday, some people who were in the north of Tehran used wheel chains, and radio and television came in with more power and better information was provided.
Stating that there is a place to thank the radio and television, he also stated that the traffic police also used more capacity on Sunday and the problems were less and the snow removal operation with the participation of the citizens brought satisfaction.
Pirhadi continued: I asked some reporters about the situation in the city on Sunday, and the media reporters also admitted that the snow removal situation was better on Sunday.
The head of the Health, Environment and Urban Services Commission also thanked the hardworking workers and personnel of the urban services sector and said: On Sunday, these people worked hard in different areas and the southern areas came to help the northern areas.
He stated that on Sunday, we saw 25,000 calls to the 137 system, and stated: 65% of the messages were for areas one, two, and five, and municipal service workers from other areas were also present in these areas.
According to Pirhadi, 1773 dump trucks, trucks, p-cups, cranes, loaders and 300 specialized machines, including salt sprayers and trucks with special snow removal blades, highway salt sprayers were active in the city.
Stating that the field of snow removal equipment and machinery of Tehran municipality needs to be strengthened, he said: I request my colleagues to help make the snow removal equipment more complete now that we are in the budget season.
Pirhadi stated that a management decision should be made for next year and snow removal, adding: new equipment has not been purchased and the existing equipment has not been updated, and there is a need for a management decision in this area.
He asked the mayor of Tehran to pay special attention to the issue of citizenship education. So that the citizens have fewer problems during the snow.
