
According to the Fars news agency’s urban group, Mehdi Chamran, while attending the Art Academy, after visiting the exhibition of the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival, visited the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Palestine and the Art Academy’s library and documentation center.
This visit was accompanied by the presence of Bahman Namour Mutlaq, the head of the Academy of Arts, Mohammad Ali Rajabi and Jahangir Almasi, permanent members of the Academy, Alireza Esmaili, the secretary of the Academy of Arts, and Behnam Zangi, the head of the Saba Cultural and Art Institute. The library and publications of the art academy were presented.
Farhangistan Honar Library and Document Center is one of the largest specialized art libraries in Iran, which was established in 1380 with the aim of providing library services to the art research community and artists. Having more than 85,000 printed and digital resources, this library provides specialized services to more than 8,000 members, including faculty members, researchers, and art graduate students.
Also, Chamran visited the exhibition of the “Imagination of Art” section of the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival called “Our Dear Iran” while attending the Palestine Museum of Contemporary Arts.
In this exhibition, selected works of well-known artists of different generations in the fields of posters, illustrations, cartoons and caricatures are displayed, which are created around themes such as Iran, Islamic Revolution, growth and progress.
After visiting different parts of the building of the Saba Institute and its pond, the head of the Tehran City Council and the head of the Academy of Arts discussed the continuation of cooperation and interaction between Tehran Municipality, the City Council and the Academy of Arts in the areas of beautification, architecture and revitalization of neighborhood identity. They talked and exchanged opinions.
Also, in this meeting, the assistance of Tehran municipality in the field of art and surrounding environment of art academy and related buildings was emphasized.
Mehdi Chamran, while expressing his satisfaction with the existence of prominent art centers such as Art Academy, Saba Art Cultural Institute, Palestine Contemporary Arts Museum and Art Academy Library and Documentation Center in the heart of Tehran, emphasized the importance of preserving and maintaining these centers and expanding cooperation.
