The neglect of cultural institutions related to the hijab cannot be solved by the guidance patrol – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, Farhangsarai Andisheh organizes a special program “Discovering the realities of hijab” focusing on the topic of hijab. This conversation-oriented program was held with the presence of prominent experts in the field of chastity and hijab, professors of the field and university, and it tries to provide accurate and scientific answers to the doubts that are raised in this matter.
The first session of this special program was attended by Abulfazl Iqbali, researcher and author of the book “Was he a worker?” held.
Abolfazl Iqbali, an expert in the field of modesty and hijab, said: Sharia Holy, from the legalization of hijab ruling and its obligation, he is looking for wisdom and goals. Since the Almighty God knows the characteristics of human beings and knows that men and women have an innate desire for each other, by decreeing hijab and placing other boundaries between men and women, He wants to purify the space of social interactions and the public arena of society from sexual matters and make it a sacred space. to transfer privately to the family. In other words, to increase the efficiency of people in their social activities, Islam places boundaries between men and women, one of which is hijab.
Place the privacy to avoid It’s a nuisance
He continued: The second goal is to prevent the loss of women’s human dignity and their transformation into a commodity and a tool in the service of men. In the West, we see that under false pretenses such as women’s social activities, they are used as a tool to advance the goals of male capitalism. Islam is against this issue and it don He knows the dignity of a woman’s human position. The third goal is to maintain the moral security of society. Throughout history, we have seen many times that sexual harassment has been committed by men and against women. Placing privacy for women, trying to prevent this It’s a nuisance. In my opinion, if we get a better understanding of these wisdoms, it will be easier to accept the category of hijab.
In response to the doubt that the hijab contradicts women’s activities in the society, he said: The wrong understanding is that we consider the category of hijab and privacy to mean being enclosed in the inner frames of the house. This issue is while hijab has been legislated in women’s relationship with non-mahram men. In fact, hijab does not refer women to the inside of the house and has social uses outside the house.
He added: Be careful that what is interpreted as freedom is freedom in the area of human choices and the realization of individuality, but this category also has limitations in the most liberal schools of humanity. For example, it is said that everyone’s circle of freedom is up to the point where he does not take away the freedom of others. The same is true for the hijab issue. If the security of the society is related to the covering of people, both men and women, its limitations must be accepted.
Virtual space and the category of hijab
Referring to the effects of virtual space on the issue of hijab, Iqbali said: the duality of identity that virtual space promotes is one of the requirements of technology and the advancements of the new era. Every person in the real world is recognized by his true identity and every behavior is written on his feet. Brahmin Basically, in the real space, everyone is careful about their own behavior, but in the virtual space, due to the fact that people’s identities are lost, the customary social restrictions are weaker and people behave in double ways. This is the reason why social deviations increase in this space. From this point of view, it seems that we need to apply more serious supervision in cyber space.
Not wearing a hijab and not observing the Islamic hijab is considered a violation and a crime
In response to a question about whether veiling is a crime, he said: Based on Article 638 of the Islamic Penal Code, not wearing a hijab and not observing the Islamic hijab is considered a violation and a crime. Therefore, not wearing a veil is not only a social harm and it is also considered a violation of the official law of the country. Brahmin Basically, in the face of this violation and crime, there should be a stronger social supervision.
This expert in the field of modesty and hijab said: The causes of bad hijab in our society are wide and complex and cannot be limited to one or two specific factors. The personal characteristics of people are one of the factors, family education is another factor, the functions of the education system are influential in this matter and… we can also give examples of internal factors; For example, is modesty internalized in a person or not? Is it convenient or not? And…
We have abandoned 50% of society
In another part of his speech, Iqbali said: According to research, we have 3 groups in the issue of hijab observance; The first category is those who observe the Sharia hijab and standards of covering. They constitute about 35 to 40 percent of the society. 10 to 15 percent of the society is not veiled They are naked And they dress completely contrary to the dress standards. The third category, which is about 50% of the society, has the customary hijab; That is, they do not have the Sharia standards of hijab, nor are they bad hijab. these people Mandand; They believe in the principle of hijab, but they do not accept full Islamic covering.
He added: I believe that in cultural policies, we should make these people the main audience, and if we want to organize the hijab issue, we should do promotion, advertising and cultural work for this group. Maybe for this group, “requirement” is not responsible, but for that 10-15%, the other 10-15% must face the law.
Author of the book “Was he a worker?” About the Irshad patrol and social reactions to it, he said: The logic of the Irshad patrol is to put an executive guarantee for the implementation of the law. For example, the FATA police have come to control the relationships and laws in cyberspace. Accordingly, the guidance patrol wants to monitor people’s behavior within the legal framework, but the question must be asked whether the methods we have taken to implement this idea and guarantee were correct or not? It seems that we did not have a successful experience in this field; First, one of the enforcers of the approved laws in the field of chastity and hijab is the police, and before him, about 30 other agencies were responsible for following up and implementing this law. They have not done their duty properly.
He continued: For example, when in all women’s stores, you can’t find coats that have a suitable cover, and practically the right product is not offered, it means that the implementation of the law has been neglected, and you should not expect that the police will be able to act successfully at the end of the road. In other words, the intervention of the police and other institutions is effective when the rest of the institutions have implemented the designed path correctly. This is where you go to those who intentional They do not observe hijab.
The police requirement in the issue of hijab does not succeed.
Iqbali said: If the Islamic Republic only wants to impose police and force on the issue of hijab, it will not succeed. You can also see this issue in the discovery of Reza Khan’s hijab. He also wanted to force a deep-rooted cultural issue on the people, which failed. So exposure overbearing It will not bring any success with cultural issues. Don’t forget that more than 30 cultural institutions are responsible for following up on the hijab issue, and their work should not be neglected. They should try to institutionalize hijab among the people. However, I believe that the comparison of the hijab law in the Islamic Republic with Reza Khan’s action in the category of revealing the hijab is comparative with Al Faraq Is.
Calling the Western media’s interpretations about sexual issues a lie, he said: Western media insinuates that there are no restrictions in the West, and in terms of male-female relationships, no one is greedy towards the other and rape does not occur. Such an image that we have of the western society is not true because in the statistical reports that they publish, the number of men assaulting women is very high. The question should be asked that if the removal of privacy causes the eyes and hearts of men and women to be satisfied, where do these statistics come from? It seems that we have miscalculated human instinct and its natural nature and forgot that this instinct is insatiable.
In the final part of his speech, Iqbali mentioned the importance of the family and said: the educational role of the family is one of the most important factors in the hijab issue. It seems that we are unintentionally in the middle of a social and generational gap and the educational functions of the family have been taken away. In fact, we took the educational functions of the family and replaced them with other factors such as media, education, etc. It is clear that the output of such a system is different from previous generations. I believe that if we return the educational functions to the family, we will not face these problems.
He added: A question arises that hijab is an individual and personal matter and why should the government intervene in this field and make laws? In response, it should be said: It is true that hijab is an individual behavior, but everyone’s veil has social implications and consequences. In fact, the type of clothing of each person has an impact on the other side, and in this sense, it is not a completely individual and personal matter.
