According to Mehr reporter, Hojjatul Islam Mojtaba Zul Nouri In the public meeting today (Monday, July 5th), the Islamic Council stated: We do not have a law regarding chastity and hijab, so that in case of non-observance of the Islamic hijab, according to Article 638 of the Islamic Penal Code, two months imprisonment or 74 lashes. Or a fine instead of imprisonment is foreseen.

He stated: Based on this, we do not have a lack of laws in this field and it should not be said that the parliament failed or was at fault for approving the law in this area.

Referring to the Chastity and Hijab bill, the vice-chairman of the Islamic Council said: The parliament was not indifferent to this bill, but it follows it with sensitivity. The parliament did not waste time in this regard, but believes that this bill has defects that must be removed by hammering its defects in order to have the necessary deterrence.

Zul Nouri He emphasized: Each and every representative has a high sensitivity for the mental peace of the people and the preservation of values, and they will not fail.
