According to Fars news agency’s health correspondent, Hossein Farshidi, the deputy health minister of the Ministry of Health, stated in the implementation program of the first phase of the free hospitalization plan for patients in the three provinces of Bushehr, South Khorasan and Kurdistan, that the work that had been left for years was implemented, the issue of the family doctor is very important. For years, we have said that family medicine is the way to achieve justice in health.

He said: The parliament supported the implementation of family medicine. In 1402, we will witness the expansion of this issue and a revolution will be created at the level of the country.

Farshidi added: “This year, in the new plan, we are looking for the expansion of family medicine, with this program, we have seen the improvement of services in villages and cities under 20,000 people, and Alhamdulillah, we have seen good results in the last three months, and little by little, these services will be upgraded to the cities as well.” .

He said: The experience of implementing this plan will be transferred to other three provinces.

In addition, Saeed Karimi, deputy medical director of the Ministry of Health, said: “From the beginning of December, the family medicine program was implemented in cities with less than 20,000 inhabitants. Part of the program was about incentives, which is aimed at reducing out-of-pocket payments. This plan was unveiled today. This essential service plan will be provided free of charge, but please note that the service will be free of charge on the condition of the patient’s referral through the referral system.
