Shahand said: Studies in the field of demography of this bird are conducted by the General Department of Environmental Protection of West Azerbaijan, and wildlife experts identify the migratory routes of this species by ringing flamingo chicks.
He continued: In general, the flamingos of Lake Urmia have three migration destinations, which include the Indian Ocean in the southeast of the country, Shadgan Wetland in the south of the country, and the Mediterranean Sea basin in the North African region.
