According to Mehr reporter, Morteza Adibzadeh, Director General of Museums of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, wrote in a circular to the managers of cultural heritage departments of the country’s provinces about the necessity of observing hijab and chastity in museums and museum complexes covered by this ministry:
With the wish to accept obedience in front of the Almighty Lord, following the order of the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage and the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage and the statement of the honorable Ministry of the country and regarding the importance of safeguarding and protecting cultural affairs and the privacy of the public safety of society in museums and historical cultural collections from the date of this circular The entry and presence of people without Islamic hijab is prohibited in museums and collections covered by this ministry.
It is requested that measures be taken with the cooperation of the local authorities to implement the issue with the preservation of human dignity and full respect for our dear compatriots.
It is necessary to provide relevant services at the entrance of museums and museum collections, as well as implement incentive policies to comply with them during the visit at the highest possible level.
