The problem of the car industry is the production of old cars / The car airbag only opens in the event of an impact

Saeed Madani in an interview with Fars News Agency economic reporter about the chain accident in Behbahan and the statement of the police chief about the performance of car airbags said: 80 to 90% of cars are produced with two airbags and their opening depends on the angle of the accident, if the car goes to the valley If it falls or hits the roof, the airbag will not open, the airbag of domestic cars will be activated when there is an impact.

Madani added: “It would have been better if the police and the technical departments had prepared a technical report on the chain accident of 50 cars in Behbahan in order to determine what technical challenges the cars face.” Certainly that report could have helped improve the quality of the car and reduce the problems that exist in this area.

“Unfortunately, worn-out cars travel around the country, and this has nothing to do with car companies,” he said.

Madani said that in order to reduce the number of road accidents, it is necessary for the government to activate the 13th plan for scrapping worn-out cars that have been forgotten. In this plan, the government will buy used cars and by providing loans to applicants, create conditions for the owners of used cars to be able to buy new cars.

The former CEO of Saipa, said: “If the plan to remove worn-out cars from the transport fleet is taken seriously and proper investment is made in this area, all costs and investments made by the government can be offset by saving gasoline consumption, and finally into three categories.” Reducing pollution, scrapping used cars and reducing fuel consumption were achieved.

Regarding the quality of existing cars, Madani said: “The problem in the car industry is not quality, but the production of old cars, so it is necessary for car manufacturers to move towards producing more up-to-date cars.”
