The proposal of the head of the Environment Organization to the French ambassador

According to Fars News Agency, “Ali Selajgeh”, Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, hosted the French Ambassador to Iran at the organization yesterday.

In this meeting, the two sides stressed the need to pay attention to the environment in the global context and noted that the issue of the environment is a global issue and all countries should pay more attention to this issue.

At the meeting, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, while expressing satisfaction with the hosting of the French Ambassador to Iran, said: The Environmental Protection Agency has taken extensive measures in the field of environmental issues or is planning large-scale internationally.

He also described a report on environmental measures: “The environment in our country is subject to oppressive sanctions imposed on us by global arrogance, and we call on the French government, as the current chair of the European Union, to engage with other countries in Iran.” The issue of environment made the necessary collaborations.

The head of the Environmental Protection Organization called the oppressive sanctions of the West an obstacle to our country’s environmental programs and called for the lifting of these sanctions and the creation of the necessary conditions for receiving international financial assistance for the implementation of environmental projects in Iran.

He also cited another effect of the West’s oppressive sanctions against the Iranian people as preventing the transfer of environmental equipment and technologies, such as pollution monitoring stations.

Referring to the dust problem, the Vice President said: “Dust storms and the impact of this environmental problem on the European Union have doubled the need for international and regional cooperation, and all countries must play a constructive role in this regard.”

Selajgeh pointed to the very high capacity in Iran in various fields such as climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity and said: “Fortunately, Iran has a wide variety of climatic conditions and biodiversity, and this capacity can play a valuable role in the exchange of information and students.” To play.

During the meeting, French Ambassador to Iran Philippe Thibault praised Iran’s achievements in the field of environment, noting: “Since the history of cooperation between Iran and France has a long history, we hope this meeting will be a prelude to developing bilateral cooperation on various issues, including environment.”

Emphasizing the need for convergence and global action to implement climate change programs, the French Ambassador to Iran said: “We hope that by reducing and lifting sanctions, Iran’s capacity to join the Paris Agreement will be provided as soon as possible.”
