The reaction of the nursing system to the dismissal of the supervisor of Mashhad Hospital

According to Fars news agency’s health group, Amin Kohsarian, the head of the board of directors of the Tehran nursing system, in a meeting with Ali Khadzarian, the spokesperson of the 90th Parliament Commission, considered the non-implementation of the laws related to nursing, including tariffs and the productivity improvement law, as one of the examples of the authorities’ negligence. He said: The number and variety of contracts and the lack of change of status is a kind of discrimination that nurses are facing. Many promises of the officials of the Ministry of Health, including the Corona bonus and the special bonus, were not implemented.

Regarding the problems of the nursing field, he said: The only supporter of the nurses during the Corona era was the Supreme Leader, who repeatedly emphasized on the care of the nurses’ livelihood and the implementation of the tariff law, but with the lack of kindness of some officials, the demands of the nursing field are still on the ground.

In the continuation of this meeting, Ali Abbasi Baglo, Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Tehran Nursing System, spoke about the bad situation of nurses. He considered the non-commitment of the middle officials of the government to implement the laws approved by the parliament and abandoning the actions as the main reason for the dissatisfaction of the nurses.

The Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Tehran Nursing System, referring to the dismissal of Ms. Mansoureh Ranjbar, the supervisor of Mashhad’s Pastor Novi Hospital, due to protesting the unfavorable conditions of the nurses, drew attention to the union activists who wanted the implementation of the law and have no other demand than this. He mentioned the issues facing the representatives of the nursing community.

He called these types of interactions caused by the inefficiency of some managers who try to hide their weakness with negative interactions.

Abbasi stated: Non-implementation of hard work laws, improving the productivity of clinical staff of the health system and setting tariffs along with empty promises and hard work conditions in the past two years have led to the exhaustion of the nursing community. In addition to these cases, the increasing migration of experienced nursing staff, whose education costs billions of dollars, is a problem that increases the severity of the shortage of personnel, and the government and the parliament should think of a solution for these problems.

Abbasi, while requesting the entry of the Majlis Research Center, emphasized the difficulty of the work: due to the spread of widespread diseases in the world, the lack of necessary solutions for nursing problems will face the country with a crisis in the near future.

In the end, Khadzarian considered the follow-up of non-implementation of laws as one of the main duties of this commission and asked for more cooperation of the nursing system organization in this regard.

Regarding the multiplicity of contracts and changing the status of nurses, referring to the plan of parliament members on determining the status of government employees, he requested a special discussion of the nursing system organization with the social commission of the parliament and recounting the concerns of nurses in connection with this plan in this commission and refrained from conducting research. He welcomed the hard work of nurses at the Majlis Research Center.
