The salaries of cultural workers should be paid in proportion to other employees – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr reporter, Sixth press conference of the Secretary General of the Higher Education Council And the representatives of teachers and school principals were held yesterday in the enthusiast hall of the Ministry of Education.
Maryam Rangamiz Tusi, the representative of educators in the Higher Education Council, said at the meeting: “Educators look at the teacher ranking law more in terms of salary increases because teachers’ salaries were 10 years behind.” Teachers first want the Civil Service and Salary Equality Act to be implemented. Teachers want to first pay the salaries of educators in proportion to other employees and then pay attention to the quality of teachers in the rankings.
The representative of the educators continued: “Unfortunately, a small budget has been allocated for the implementation of the ranking and all educators are supposed to be ranked first.” While teachers want their records to be applied in the rankings.
Habibaullah Goodarzi from Isfahan province, who is another representative of cultural figures in the Higher Education Council; In this meeting, stating that since December 2009 and the first presence of representatives in the Higher Education Council, we have always been a defender of teachers’ rights, clarified: In these years, educators have always been concerned with ranking. My advice to legislators and policymakers is to always pay attention to the school floor for legislation. Our goal has always been to pay attention to the demands of teachers without politicization. The executive regulations of schools and the regulations of training are among the items that have been approved by the council with the efforts of the representatives of educators in the Higher Education Council.
Javad Nobakhti, the representative of Farhangians from East Azarbaijan province, referring to the recent gatherings of Farhangians, said: “We warned the Minister about the recent gatherings and demands of Farhangians. If the demands are ignored, the gatherings will increase.” A bylaw was passed, but unfortunately we had no involvement in its design. We have always considered the document of transformation sacred, while this document was not well designed from the beginning and there was not enough budget for it. 97% of teachers’ salaries have been spent and only 3% of the budget of the Ministry of Education has been allocated to the implementation of the document.
He added: “Teachers are currently unfamiliar with the various subsystems and areas of education.” We conveyed the demands of the teachers and the school floor to the Higher Education Council.
Maryam Tusi, the representative of the educators, stated that we had two meetings with the esteemed president, and emphasized: We have told Mr. Ra’isi the problems of the educators. In the first meeting, the president explicitly stated that the problem of cultural figures must be solved once and for all, which has not been achieved.
“We have presented the demands of the teachers to the president,” he said. Educators should know that their wishes and demands will be raised and followed up in the council.
