He advised drivers to drive at a safe speed on rainy days and to avoid rushing and accelerating.

On the other hand, due to the completion of the work round and also the reopening of some schools, subway passengers have increased and we are witnessing a crowd at the subway stations.

Metro Line 1 was overcrowded / trains were reduced to increase passenger safety

Ali Abdollahpour, CEO of the Metro Operating Company, said regarding the disruption in some lines: “Today, due to rain and the simultaneous morning rain with the reopening of schools on Metro Line 1, there was a crowd of passengers.”

The CEO of Metro Operation Company added: “Among the stations of Metro Line 1, the intersection lines had a larger volume of passengers and passengers entered the train with a delay and due to disruption in some stations of this line, the speed of trains decreased to increase passenger safety.” کرد.

Abdollahpour, in response to the question of which part of the subway service was the problem, said: “The problem was on the computer circuits of the subway, which to reduce this problem and prevent a possible accident for passengers, the speed of trains is low.” As a result, the crowds of passengers in some metro stations became more visible.

He continued: “The hot line was kept for about 45 minutes and fortunately the safety of passengers in this situation was well done and now the service of the line has returned to normal but there is still a crowd.”

The CEO of the Metro Operation Company added: “We are happy that people use the public transportation service more than personal vehicles, and our duty is to provide the best and without any problems to the citizens.”

The reopening of the second secondary schools started today and about 5 million high school students will start school after 20 months of virtual education from today. The fight against Corona will be decided. Today, the subway stations were full of passengers and many citizens complained about this.

The increase in passengers with the reopening of schools / part of the subway trains needs to be repaired

Mehdi Chamran, the head of the Islamic Council of Tehran, told a Fars reporter about the crowd in the subway: “Yes, I have had calls in this regard since the morning.”

Referring to the reopening of some schools, he said: “The number of passengers has increased with this and I must say that part of the subway trains need overhaul.”

The head of the Islamic Council of Tehran stated: the trains must be repaired and we are also looking for 600 subway cars that were to be purchased by the government to do their work and enter the lines.

He also referred to the situation of bus drivers and said: “Currently, 2,000 buses are active and this number is small. A large number of buses need to be repaired and this bus is in the hands of the private sector and the loan allocated for this purpose is small.”

There are a lot of passengers in the subway and this is not good considering the conditions in Corona

Chamran said that we should strengthen the public transportation system: “Some wagons are dormant and need spare parts that must be imported from abroad.”

The head of the Islamic Council of Tehran added: “We have set the budget for development, but buying trains, buses and overhauls takes time.”

Chamran emphasized: there are many passengers in the subway today and this is not good considering the conditions of Corona.

Meeting with the Minister of the Interior / Green Light to assist the public transport system

He referred to the meeting they had with the Minister of Interior last Wednesday and said: “We said the problems should be a mobilization in the public transport system.” The government has also said that it is helping in this regard and we hope to be able to do good work in the development of public transport.

The number of passengers on the subway has increased, and police believe that we have not yet reached pre-Corona capacity.

Public transport before Corona carried 3 million passengers daily

Sardar Hamidi, the head of the Greater Tehran Road Police, says in this regard: We have not yet reached saturation capacity. Before Corona, public transport carried 3 million passengers a day, but today the number of passengers was one million and there are still 2 million.

With the change of hours, the cost of a private car increases and people come to public transportation

In response to the question that the change in the traffic plan time has been effective in the current situation, he said: it should take a few days. Certainly, with the change of hours, the cost of a private car increases and people move to public transportation, which reduces urban travel.

He continued: “The philosophy of the traffic plan is to reduce unnecessary trips and its output is urban discipline and reducing air pollution.”

According to this report, traffic in Tehran has increased for some time. On the other hand, in the last few days, due to the rain and the reopening of some schools, the traffic has increased significantly and we are witnessing a crowd in the public transportation system. The development of public transport is on the agenda of managers, but it takes time.
