The tangible and intangible heritage of our country is full of beliefs and knowledge compatible with climatic characteristics.

According to the Aria Heritage Report, quoting the General Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, the message of Ali Darabi, Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, reads:

“Congratulations on the International Day of Monuments and Historic Sites with the month of the Divine Feast, Ramadan.

Seizing the opportunity, we seek to overcome the difficult times of the Corona epidemic. Regarding the importance, necessity and fruits of paying attention to cultural heritage as the most important cultural resources available to human beings for the world today and the future, I would like to make some points.

Extensive quantitative and qualitative enjoyment of cultural and natural heritage puts us in a position where, with due diligence and knowledge about these rich assets and resources, we can preserve cultural richness, play an effective role in learning from the experience of our predecessors to overcome today’s challenges. Especially in the field of cultural and environmental challenges. About four decades ago, on the recommendation of the International Council on Buildings and Sites (ICOMOS) and UNESCO, April 18 (coinciding with April 29) was designated as World Buildings and Sites Day.

Every year, and in direct connection with this celebration, the central themes of the challenges, concerns and programs are centered in the form of the slogan of the year. In this regard, this year has been named “Heritage and Climate” so that the international community can pay more attention to the interaction between the two issues of “climate” and “heritage”.

In the initial encounter with this year’s designation as “Climate and Heritage”, everyone is looking at the devastating effects of climate change on cultural heritage, and it is rightly stated that climate change is the greatest threat to humanity and cultural heritage.

A broader reflection on the main and hidden purpose of this lettering will indicate the main philosophy of this application, which lies on another aspect of the subject. In this way, the International Council on Buildings and Premises seeks to address climate change by drawing public attention and finding solutions based on “cultural heritage” and seeking to draw the attention of the international community to the use of knowledge and experience in human heritage. To get out of this global challenge.

This emphasis clearly shows the deep belief and belief in the value and power of culture and heritage for society as a whole and the belief in it as a key part of the solution to problems.

In principle, letters are important indicators for the attention of governments, people and non-governmental organizations to discuss the issue and use the power of the media and public opinion to promote the general and specialized knowledge of the nations of the world.

Today, the international community seeks to harness the latent capacities of cultural heritage in adapting to climate to enhance sustainable development, recognizing the fundamental nature of these cultural assets to help humanity achieve sustainable adaptation, to find a way out of climate challenges and to implement strategic strategies. It will be a rapidly changing world.

This approach seeks to link heritage responses to climate change in line with the goals of sustainable development, taking into account the latent and unread potentials of cultural heritage to guide climate action, and seeks to sustain society in a responsible way to preserve and develop its environmental values. And sustainably empowered.

Utilizing this cultural heritage capability requires a better understanding of the cultural dimensions of climate change on the one hand and a knowledge of territorial knowledge crystallized in cultural heritage on the other hand, which requires a redoubled effort to sustainably enhance the protection and management of cultural heritage.

The wise emphasis of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on “knowledge-based production” in his letter of 1401 calls for a proper focus and attention to the production of information and knowledge through the cultural resources left by the past and its application to meet today’s challenges.

The tangible and intangible heritage of this land is full of high quality beliefs and biological knowledge and is compatible with climatic characteristics and has its obvious and hidden signs.

In the coming year, we are expected to make a serious determination and redouble our efforts in recognizing and reading the semantic and practical aspects of quality of life that are consistent in the cultural and environmental interactions of our predecessors and whose valuable examples have been preserved.

The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, believing that resilient and sustainable communities are dependent on the protection of cultural and natural heritage, is making serious efforts, with the help of all experts, concerned and social activists, to begin next year for the “Movement of Reading, Recognizing and Contenting Heritage”. To transform this land, which is full of knowledge and beliefs of its people in the course of their history, and through it to offer solutions to overcome the challenges, especially the climate challenges.

This effort is linked to the requirements that require us to understand the rich heritage of our land, which is full of masterpieces full of genius, creativity, belief and knowledge.

Efforts and inter-sectoral cooperation between the scientific and executive institutions of the country will play a leading role in achieving this national goal. This specialized meeting, which is held in cooperation with the Deputy Minister of Heritage, Culture and the Scientific-Archaeological Association, is a step towards achieving this important goal.

“I ask God Almighty for the increasing success of the participants of this conference who have the aforementioned concerns.”
