The time of the eighth wave of Corona in Iran was announced

According to the Fars news agency’s health group, Pedram Pak Ayin, the spokesman of the Ministry of Health, stated that the Ministry of Health has been monitoring the cases of disease, the general conditions of the provinces and hospitals and is ready to deal with any possible wave of Corona. Necessary instructions have been communicated to universities across the country and appropriate measures to deal with the possible wave have been emphasized.

Pak Ayan stated: As soon as the BQ.1 substrain is identified in Iran, we will most likely witness the eighth wave of Corona in the country. Although the behavior of this substrain may not be extreme or exactly the same as the behavior in other parts of the world.

He added: Currently, the two substrains BA.5 and BQ.1, with their high transmissibility, are responsible for more than 70% of infected people in America; These substrains produce mild cold-like symptoms that are similar to other symptoms seen in various Omicron substrains.

The media assistant of the Minister of Health said that one of the reasons that strengthens the arrival of the Corona wave in Iran is the trips of Iranian nationals living in the western part of the world to the country at the same time as the New Year and said: the research done on these diseases in the world is the preparation for the arrival of the new Omicron strain. It recommends the country.

Pak Ayin noted: In Iran, the number of outpatients in the hospital for Covid-19 in the last week has decreased by almost 9% compared to the previous week, and the number of hospitalized patients in the last week has decreased by approximately 6.6% compared to the previous week.
