According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Sumerian network, the speaker of the Iraqi parliament postponed his visit to Iran, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday.
The office of Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi said in a statement on Saturday that al-Halbousi was due to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf due to legal and parliamentary considerations on both sides, as well as the speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Earlier, it was announced that the speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Mohammad al-Halbousi, was scheduled to travel to Tehran at the invitation of the speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf.
According to a statement issued Friday by the office of Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi, he was scheduled to arrive in Tehran at the invitation of Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, at the head of a delegation of members of his country’s parliament.
