The store was closed at the time of the robbery, so Apple employees did not know about it until the next morning. The interesting thing is that the thieves broke into the wall of the espresso shop next to the Apple store.

After stealing Apple products, they entered the espresso shop through the same hole in the wall and then left.

In total, the thieves managed to steal about $500,000 worth of Apple products, including approximately 436 iPhones, as well as a collection of Apple Watch and iPad models. Apparently they had no interest in Mac computers.

The robbery was an “organized operation,” according to Maren McKay, director of communications for the Lynnwood, Wash., police department. The thieves used masks and gloves and did not leave any fingerprints. The police investigation into the theft from the Apple store is still ongoing.

“Eric Marks”, the regional manager of the espresso shop, also explained to COMO News:

“Our entrance door was locked and they managed to open it. The thieves made a 24 by 18 hole in the wall and appeared to have entered the back room of the Apple store. “I had no idea that we were so close to them.”

Seattle Coffee Gear has since changed its locks and claims the incident cost them about $1,800 in damages.
