Tourism is an important element in government policies to strengthen public diplomacy

According to IRNA, a joint meeting of Seyed Ezatullah Zarghami, Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Bahram Einollahi, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education was held at noon today, Monday, October 17, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Vaccination of tourism-related factors has been key in recent weeks, and this process is nearing completion,” Zarghami said at the meeting.

The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts added: “The issuance of tourist visas has been stopped for about 20 months, and considering the importance of tourism, God willing, we will be able to resume tourism in the country by observing the protocols.”

“Our cultural values ​​are exported through tourism,” he said. “If the necessary conditions are provided in the country properly, in the near future, we will see the resumption of tourist visas in all areas.”

Tourism development is one of the important programs of the 13th government

“One of the important programs of the 13th government in the field of foreign policy and public diplomacy is the development of tourism in various fields, including health tourism, pilgrimage tourism, public tourism and other areas,” said Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

“We have gathered in this meeting to discuss and strengthen tourism in the country and remove its obstacles,” he added. “The prosperity of tourism in the country, in addition to currency, is a lasting cultural measure, and God willing, we will be able to take good measures in this regard.”

“In this regard, joint consultations with Mr. Zarghami and Mr. Einullahi have started since the day of the vote of confidence on how we can consolidate the capacity of the three ministries in this area,” Amir Abdullahian said.

“We hope that we will be able to strengthen the various areas of tourism in the country, including health tourism, pilgrimage and tourism in the general sense, and by holding such events,” he said. “We can have a new railroad in this area in the 13th government.”

The ground is prepared for foreign guests to enter the country

Also in this meeting, Bahram Ainollahi, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, referring to the vaccination process in the country, said: “Currently, the ground has been prepared for foreign guests to enter the country and there is no concern in this regard and people can come to our country.” “Travel and receive medical services.”

“We need to organize between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts so that the arrival of these guests can be done with better facilities and better medical services,” he added.

“Agreements have already been reached that need to be revised,” Ainullahi said. “Medical services are classified in every country, and we would like people who travel to Iran to benefit from medical services.”

“In big cities, we can receive foreign tourists from all over the world, depending on the air traffic situation,” said the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.
