Ukraine war redefines Western relations with the world?

According to IRNA on Saturday, the war in Ukraine, along with the far-reaching economic consequences of which rising fuel and grain prices are just one example, has also affected the political arena. In a report, RFE / RL reviewed the impact of the war on Western relations with the rest of the world, acknowledging the impact and defining the West as the United States, its European and Asian allies, including Japan and South Korea.
The report said: “The Ukraine war, first an iron curtain, and perhaps a temporary one, between the EU and NATO members on the one hand and Russia and Belarus on the other, and in the next stage, contrary to the Kremlin’s expectations, the crisis will intensify significantly.” Relations between European countries and NATO led.
But as President Joe Biden hopes, Russia is not a “rejected” country in the international arena today. The war in Ukraine has created new situations that are not very clear.
Biden, who wanted to use this war to defend his Democratic bloc approach against the authoritarian bloc, failed. The only democracies in line with Washington’s position are countries with a political, social, and economic model similar to the United States, including Europe, Canada, Japan, and South Korea. Occupied Palestine is an exception, which for regional and strategic reasons does not want to disrupt its relations with Moscow.
The West’s failure to align all countries against Moscow
According to the report, the US president is facing emerging democracies that refuse to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, thus equating the aggressor and the victim with responsibility. In this case we can mention India; Narendra Modi is heavily dependent on Russia for weapons and cannot disrupt his relations with Moscow, which plays a mediating and balancing role in his country’s complex relationship with Beijing. In this regard, we can mention Mexico, which is an exception for Biden with its president “Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador”, and of course other countries such as Brazil, Indonesia and South Africa, which have been content to take a cautious neutral position.
“So in this crisis, all these emerging democracies are on the pro-Moscow authoritarian front, with Beijing at the forefront,” Radio France France wrote. These countries, as well as Cuba, Venezuela, Russia and Iran, at the same time called on Russia to respect its territorial integrity.
Many African countries are on the side of Moscow’s supporters, distrusting Washington and loyal to the era when Russia helped them in their anti-colonial struggle. What is surprising is that some Middle Eastern countries, such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, support Russia for mainly economic reasons.
RFE / RL concludes: Russia, as a country at war, enjoys some form of support from half the world’s population; This support is either direct or in the shadow of not condemning Moscow’s actions in Ukraine. However, this level of support has embittered the West.
According to IRNA, Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 21/1400, recognizing the West’s indifference to Moscow’s security concerns, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics in the Donbas region.
Three days later, on February 5, he announced the launch of a “special military operation” against Ukraine, and the tense Moscow-Kiev relations shifted to a military confrontation. The conflict in Ukraine continues and is in its third month.
