The Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO-Iran, congratulating the Iranians on the global registration of the protection of the art of calligraphy, said: “Different cultural organizations should pay special attention to the issue of calligraphy in various programs.”
Hojjatullah Ayoubi stated: “Last year, there was a public concern about calligraphy and some claims in some countries, the cultural community and especially our calligraphers were concerned, and at the same time it was announced that friends have started their work in this field and No worries.
He continued: “In the last two years, a very strong and valuable event called the International Festival” Pen Dance on the Silk Road “was held by the National Commission for UNESCO-Iran, and in that atmosphere, holding this program faced political challenges, but with The efforts and determination of different sections, this exhibition was held with great magnificence.
Ayoubi stated: In the pen dance exhibition, the works of artists from countries that are in the way of silk and countries with calligraphy were displayed, and this event started from the city of Mashhad. I appreciate the mayor and the city council of Mashhad. This city is also considered as a kind of our cultural identity and the court of Hazrat Samen Al-Hajj is located in this city as a qibla for Shiites and lovers. This exhibition continued in Tehran and a glorious closing ceremony was held for the pen dance exhibition.

All calligraphers in any group are made of light because they work hard.

* Calligraphy Society and Calligraphers Association put aside differences
He continued: “I request the calligraphy community and the calligraphers’ association to put aside any marginal issues and become united, and we in the National Commission for UNESCO are ready to work with different groups of calligraphers.” From now on, our mission is universal and the cosmopolitan society does not accept calligraphy.

In the budget of the Ministry of Culture, we should see the art of calligraphy in the program of the Communication Organization and start a movement in this field.
He said: “Considering that the government and parliament are seeking change, I hope we will see a resolution that the works of calligraphers be purchased and placed in the eyes of the people in various departments.” Beautify the empty and gray walls of offices by installing original paintings by local artists, and this encourages calligraphers and shows the protection of the art of calligraphy.

The Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO said: “Is it possible to say that Iranians had a global role in recording and preserving the art of calligraphy, but when we enter cultural institutions, we see inappropriate and meaningless printed images on the walls, meaningless and strange banners?” There is an army of artists in the Calligraphers Association whose works make everyone happy and we hope that all departments and agencies will give the necessary instructions to buy the works of calligraphers and we will witness the movement of buying this type of works so that every Iranian and foreigner enters any device. Realize that Iranians played a global role in preserving the art of calligraphy, and this is part of our aspirations.
