Unexpected shine of Turkish carmakers Online Economy

The country has always been controversial but economically strong, and Turkey and its auto industry have been significantly less shaky than others in this sector.
“We have seen a 40 percent increase in exports to countries such as Britain, the United States and Egypt,” said Baran Celik, president of the Al-Wadagh Automobile Exporters Association (OIB). Other automotive competitors, such as Mexico, have seen their exports decline by 2% since 2021 compared to 2020.
Exports to other Western European countries, such as Germany, have also increased among Turkish automakers. A 3% increase in exports to Germany is an upward trend that can not be taken for granted in the 2022 economy.
Meanwhile, superpowers such as the United States and China are trying to build microchip factories that can serve their domestic markets.
In the meantime, at least, the Turkish auto sector is a viable and cost-effective alternative to imports, which seems to have outperformed some of the more global automotive sectors.
Today we live in a world where it is possible to change in any direction at any time.
