The French president’s office announced that the United States and the European troika, including Britain, France and Germany, are scheduled to hold quadripartite talks on Iran’s nuclear program on Tuesday, during which the issue of exports will be discussed. Iranian oil will also be considered as one of the issues.

A French official said without elaborating that the talks will take place on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Germany, which will focus on Iran’s oil and the desire to halt enrichment. Will take.

He added: “The issue of Iran will be raised in this quadripartite dialogue on Tuesday.”

Yesterday, Reuters quoted a French presidential official as saying that the G7 leaders were also scheduled to discuss the Vienna talks.

He continued that the talks between the G7 leaders will take place after the meeting of “Joseph Borrell”, the EU foreign policy chief, with senior officials in Tehran.

“Negotiations between our teams have intensified,” the French official added.

Despite the International Atomic Energy Agency’s repeated acknowledgment that Tehran has not deviated from the terms of the nuclear deal, Europe has taken a passive stance in response to the US unilateral withdrawal from the IAEA in 2018 and in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231. And waived its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal.

Earlier in the day, the EU foreign policy chief tweeted the results of his visit to Tehran, adding that the recent stalemate in the Vienna talks to lift sanctions on Iran had been resolved.

“The important result of my visit to Iran is that we have lifted the recent stalemate and the stalled talks on Borjam will resume,” Borrell wrote on his Twitter page.

After arriving in Tehran and meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Borrell wrote in a Twitter message without mentioning Europe’s inaction on its commitments, especially after the US unilaterally withdrew from the 2018 nuclear deal. The main purpose of his trip is to “give a new impetus to the negotiations and return the Borjam nuclear deal to its original path.”
