Vahid Ashtari’s request to reinstate the prosecution was accepted in the Supreme Court

According to the judicial reporter of Fars news agency, Amir Hashemi, the Public Relations Director of the Supreme Court of Iran, announced in a message on his personal Twitter that Vahid Ashtari’s request for retrial was accepted in the Supreme Court of Iran.

Mr. Vahid Ashtari’s request for retrial regarding the decision of branch 1060 of the Criminal Court 2 entitled “Inviting people to violent acts” (the subject of paragraph b of article 743 of the Islamic Penal Code), was accepted by the Supreme Court based on paragraph c of article 474 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The case is referred to another branch of the court issuing the decision.
