The ability to send polls in chats is another new feature that Meta has enabled for the channels of this popular messenger, while channels are allowed to have up to 16 administrators.
According to Meta’s official statement, users of WhatsApp channels can announce channel updates in the status section.
According to WhatsApp, the channels of this messenger have quickly established themselves among users and have gained high popularity. More than 500 million people use this feature on WhatsApp every month.
The possibility of setting up a channel on WhatsApp was initially done in June 2023 only in Singapore and Colombia, and in September 2023 this feature was made available to all users. But at that time it was possible to have one administrator for channels, while in the latest update of WhatsApp in the new year, each channel can have 16 administrators.
