Mohammad Abdozadeh, at the opening of the sixth Iran Pharma pharmaceutical exhibition in Imam Khomeini’s prayer hall, added: “This exhibition will be held in the presence of pharmaceutical companies, knowledge-based companies in more than 43,000 square meters of space.”
Referring to the presence of 509 domestic and foreign companies in this year’s exhibition, he said: 23 countries are actively participating in this exhibition.
Abdo Zadeh pointed out the most important goals of the exhibition and added: “The challenges of the pharmaceutical industry, drug pricing and…, are among the most important topics discussed in this year’s exhibition.”
He stated that 35,000 billion tomans is the share of the country’s pharmaceutical market, and said: 30,000 billion tomans is related to domestically produced drugs.
Abdo Zadeh, referring to the 97% share of domestically produced drugs in the country’s pharmaceutical market, clarified: for this amount of share, one billion dollars is allocated for foreign exchange and one billion dollars is for imported drugs.
Announcing that 44 billion and 500 million drugs are consumed in the country, he said: “About 40 billion of them are related to domestically produced drugs.”
The chairman of the board of the Iranian Syndicate of Human Drug Owners, noting that $ 57 per capita is in the country, added: “This is $ 269 per capita in countries near Iran, $ 300 in Saudi Arabia and more than $ 1,000 per capita in the United States.”
