Accelerated growth of electronic and absentee use of banking services

We are in the digital age and the electronic world today, where many things are not done traditionally and manually and in the old-fashioned ways, and we are witnessing so much progress in all sectors that we should not miss this moment.

Electronic banking is one of the most important economic sectors that is fully institutionalized around the world and has been pursued in our country for many years. Make better progress.

For many years, various countries in Europe and the United States, and even some African countries and the Persian Gulf countries, have equipped their banking systems with electronic organizations, and with the development and up-to-date changes of these facilities, they are moving. It bought its electronic equipment from the countries of the Persian Gulf, and in any case, our country has taken steps in the e-banking industry for about a decade and has achieved some success, but the Corona pandemic made this process faster.

In recent decades, there have been dramatic changes in the banking system, in fact, to some extent, computers and software have replaced humans and paper. Each period of this process, evolution has enabled the managers of the banking system to minimize the time lost in competitive working conditions and to provide services to a greater extent. In other words, new technology and electronic banking allow them to increase the speed, quality, accuracy, cost and variety of their services.

This process in Iran is a growing trend is being formed in line with the world and many services are provided electronically that even some banks such as Resalat Bank have moved to eliminate their branches, but in the external dimension and the use of capacity More needs to be done, but the fundamental problem of sanctions and international restrictions is not ineffective in this regard.

In fact, one of the main problems in this field is communicating with the world through smart or electronic banking, which is a major obstacle to sanctions. For example, some credit and e-banking equipment is dependent on the United States, and because we are under sanctions, we can not launch e-banking and the Internet.

Iran, for example, is barred from Visa and MasterCard, which, like the banking network, connects bank cards around the world. This means that if you are a citizen of a country and receive a bank card in that country, you can use your card in all other countries, but because Visa and MasterCard are not active in Iran, Iranian bank cards are connected to Shetab banking network, which is an internal network. As a result, the bank card received in Iran can only be used in Iran itself.

As a result, it is necessary to take measures so that the Iranian banking system can be connected to the world using electronic banking; This issue has been raised in recent years and the issue of using international cards, etc., has been emphasized by experts in this field. Therefore, the development of e-banking using international capacities should be on the agenda and proceed seriously and with a plan.
