Appreciation of the Tehran Prosecutor for the courts active in reducing the length of the trial

According to Fars News Agency, citing the public relations of the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office, the periodic meeting of the Committee for Elimination of Procrastination in the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office was attended by the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor and the Deputy Chiefs of Staff and Judiciary. Tehran was ordered to investigate the reasons for the high number of remaining and delayed cases and the reasons for the delay in some branches and districts and to adopt the necessary measures to expedite the proceedings.

At the beginning of this session, the statistical report on the performance of Tehran courts in February, 1400 in the areas of incoming cases, inventory reduction, number of closed cases, reduction of older cases, percentage of electronic notification use and… and comparison with last month statistics, goals set in the program Operation 1400 and the national average were described by the Deputy Prosecutor’s Oversight and Inspection.

Following the content of the above report, the Tehran Prosecutor asked the supervisors of those areas that were unacceptably far from the performance indicators to explain their performance and issued the necessary orders and warnings to improve the process.

The meeting ended with the presentation of the views of the deputy prosecutors’ staff and the presentation of the actions taken by the district supervisors and the expression of instructions and conclusions by the Tehran prosecutor.

At the end of the meeting, the Tehran Prosecutor thanked the supervisors of Districts One, 4, 11, 23, 31, 34, 36 and 38 of the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office for their positive performance in January and February of 1400 by presenting a plaque of appreciation.
