In an interview with Mehr, Eskandar Pasalar said: “The general marriage rate in Bushehr province was 5.8 last year, which is 6.8% in the country, and we have a 1% lower rate than in the country, which is a cause for concern.”
Pointing out that Bushehr province does not have a record decrease in divorce, he added: “We do not have a good position in this field and we are among the provinces that have had the lowest rate of marriage.”
The director general of the Bushehr province registry office added: The divorce rate in Bushehr province last year was 1.8, which was lower than the national average. Bushehr province ranks 23rd in the country in terms of divorce.
He continued by pointing out that Bushehr is one of the least divorced provinces in the country: Corona has been one of the factors reducing the marriage rate.
Pasalar informed about the monitoring of demographic changes in the province by the Population Council and stated: According to the emphasis of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution on rejuvenating the population, various projects are being carried out in the province.
