Bustan Velayat hosts farewell programs for the holy month of Ramadan


According to Fars News Agency, the General Directorate of Culture of Tehran Municipality, which hosted fasting citizens and families in Tehran in the second half of the holy month of Ramadan by holding cultural programs in the provincial park, now welcomes the capital and travelers with Eid al-Fitr programs.

Performing a puppet show (play tent) with artists Meysam Bedaghi and Behnaz Mehdikhah, holding special competitions for children and families, performing music from different parts of Iran by Noor Meshkat group and also the presence of Mehdi Abbasnejad as a performer are among the programs in Bustan Velayat. It is held and now it is followed by a different atmosphere at the same time as the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The presence of old Tehran velvet hats along with old and double-decker buses in Tehran has created a nostalgic and different atmosphere for citizens, and those present in the “Smile of Hearts” program can use the opportunity to photograph and film with elements of old Tehran.

Also, the traditional teahouse, located next to the Museum of Old Buses, welcomes fasting people with tea and simple iftar in the second half of the holy month of Ramadan after the Maghrib Adhan, and now plays traditional music and ancient sports during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Setting up entrepreneurship booths

One of the most important actions of the Deputy of Social and Cultural Affairs of Tehran Municipality in the framework of “Smile of Hearts” programs has been to set up booths entitled “Tehran Women’s Handicrafts”, which host or offer products produced by women entrepreneurs every day from 19:00 to 24:00. They have been citizens and these days they are more welcomed on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.

Among the products offered in these booths, we can mention clothes, various snacks and decorative handmade items.

“Setting up this booth was a good opportunity for me and other women entrepreneurs to find new buyers and customers,” said one of the exhibitors. I hope we will continue our business with more strength and seriousness from now on.

He adds: “I think it is better for all institutions that have suitable facilities and space, such as the municipality of Tehran, to allow women entrepreneurs, especially women heads of households, to offer their products and services in such booths.”

Celebrating “Eid of Hope and Smile”

In addition to the provincial park, a number of parks and mosques in the capital are holding celebrations and programs called “Eid of Hope and Smile”.

Mohammad Hassan Jafarzadeh, Director General of Culture of Tehran Municipality, says in this regard: The purpose of these special programs is to create spiritual vitality and happiness in the citizens and to celebrate Islamic and Iranian rituals.

He adds: The establishment of cultural stations and the reception of worshipers along with the provision of content services on the campus of the University of Tehran at the same time as the Eid al-Fitr prayers is part of the “Eid of Hope and Smile” programs.

According to the cultural director of Tehran Municipality, holding lighting ceremonies in the capital and setting up a stage and performing happy programs with an Eid atmosphere are other programs of the Eid of Hope and Smile project in the capital.

Jafarzadeh points out: “We will celebrate this great religious holiday with the orphans and the deprived of the society by distributing public donations in the form of” Let’s Make a Smile “movement on the day of Eid al-Fitr with the participation of jihadi groups, Basij bases, mosques and large institutions such as radio.”

It is worth mentioning that the special programs of the General Directorate of Culture of Tehran Municipality on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr will continue until Wednesday, May 4, in selected parks and cultural centers.
