Commander of Yazd Corps: The security of the region is due to the sacrifice of Martyr Soleimani

According to IRNA, Brigadier General Reza Pourshamsi on Wednesday night on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Soleimani and Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes and their companions, which was held in Yazd, added:

In honor of the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and Sardar Soleimani, he continued: “The sacrifice, spirit of self-sacrifice and resistance of this great martyr led to the honor and authority of the Islamic Ummah and the defeat of ISIL and its supporters.”

The commander of Al-Ghadir Corps in Yazd stated: The holy goals, the spirit of self-sacrifice and jihad of Martyr Soleimani and the martyrs who defended the shrine must be properly explained to the faithful and revolutionary people and youth of Islamic Iran.

Pourshamsi pointed to the importance of the Jihad of Explanation, which was raised by the Supreme Leader, and reminded that the mass media and cultural and educational institutions should work to fulfill this recommendation of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.

340 livelihood packages were prepared by the Basij Sazandegi base in Yazd province and distributed by the resistance bases to the needy identified in the Shahid Soleimani project on the sidelines of the ceremony.

On the morning of Friday, December 4, 2009, Sardar Qassem Soleimani was killed in an American helicopter attack at Baghdad Airport, in which Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, commander of Hezbollah in Iraq and deputy head of the Iraqi People’s Mobilization (Al-Hashd al-Shabi), and a number of other Iraqi fighters were killed. The attack was carried out on the direct orders of then-US President Donald Trump.
