Commencement of free Nowruz tourism buses in Tehran


According to Fars News Agency, Mehrshad Kazemi, referring to the implementation of the “tourist bus” project during the Nowruz holidays in 1401, said: This project is implemented in cooperation with the Tehran Bus Company. 6 buses are planned for Central Tehran and 3 buses for Rey. Tourist buses will start operating today and will continue until April 4th.

The head of Tehran Municipality Tourism Headquarters explained about the movement routes of 6 buses in Central Tehran: Tourist buses start their journey in Tehran from Kaveh (Revolution) terminal and in the routes of North Kargar Street, Milad Tower, Abbasabad lands, Sohrevardi Street, Ghandi Street, Shariati Street, etc., and again to Enghelab Street. About 11 stations on these routes are expected to pick up and drop off buses. Each station is also decorated with tourist elements that the citizens of Tehran can quickly identify.

Kazemi further said about the Rey route: the buses depart from the Shahr-e terminal and go to the shrine of Abdolazim Hassani (AS), Javanmard Qassab Street, Tughral Tower, etc.

He said that buses arrive at the station about every 45 minutes, adding that the capacity of each tourist bus is equal to a maximum of 33 people.

According to the head of the Tehran Municipality Tourism Office, the project does not require registration and fees, and citizens can use the tourist buses for free by attending any station.

Kazemi also said about the operating hours of the buses: The operating hours of the tourist buses are from 9 am to 5 pm; This means that the last bus will be sent at 17:00, which will take until 18:00. The first buses depart from Central Tehran and Rey at 9 am, and the other buses will be dispatched 30 minutes later.

In the end, he reminded: each bus has a tourist guide that introduces the routes and tourist places along the routes to those who are interested.
