Compilation of the national music document was completed after 9 years

According to Fars News Agency’s art reporter, the country’s musical principles and policies document, known as the “National Music Document”, is one of the priority programs of the cultural and artistic sector of the government, which was mentioned in the media since 2013 by holding a meeting at the Presidential Strategic Review Center. After years of holding the first review meeting of this document, which was said to be one of the most strategic and legal government documents to solve the problems facing the art of music, there is still no clear vision of it for music experts and artists.

According to its contributors, this document covers a large part of the country’s musical activities and can be used in a systematic framework for many years during the country’s musical activities.

In August of this year, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance announced the drafting of a national music document, and finally he was waiting for this document to come into effect and send it to the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. By publishing a message on his Twitter page about the approval of the national music document, he wrote: “As we promised, with the sincere cooperation of the members of the Arts Council, the process of compiling and reviewing the national music document in this council has ended today, and with the final editing, it has been sent to the Supreme Council of the Revolution. This document was compiled based on the thoughts, opinions and jurisprudential fatwas of Imam Rahel (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and is based on improving the atmosphere of the music of the revolution and removing the existing damages.

In this meeting, the Minister of Culture announced the compilation and review of the National Music Document and said: As we promised, with the sincere cooperation of the members of the Arts Council, the process of compilation and review of the National Music Document in this Council was completed today and with the final revision for approval And the notification is sent to the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.

He added: This document was compiled based on the thoughts, opinions and jurisprudential fatwas of Imam Rahel (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and was based on improving the atmosphere of the music of the revolution and removing existing damages.

Esmaili continued: In addition to the music office of the deputy art affairs department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance as the secretariat for compiling this document, well-known artistic figures, guilds and music artists also played a role, and I appreciate their efforts.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance positively assessed the performance of the Art Council since its resumption in the new government and said: In the past meetings of the Art Council, it was tried that most of the discussions were far away from the abstract issues that are the bane of such meetings, and the issues The issue should be followed with the aim of solving the problem.

He emphasized: So far, all the orders approved in this council have been implemented in the country, and the points that need to be redefined have been identified and are progressing.

At the same time, he stated: In general, the approvals of the Art Council have been tried to be coordinated with other decision-making departments in the country and not outside of the country’s macro policies.

The Minister of Culture pointed to the opinion of the members of the Arts Council in providing the ground for the entry of elites and festival winners to the universities and said: This issue can be one of the points of change in the cultural and scientific situation of the country.

In the end, he emphasized: I suggest that an executive secretariat and an operational coordination headquarters be established in cooperation with the main institutions of the country and the music house under the supervision of the art council, so that the council’s approvals will be followed up by it and with the formation of a possible headquarters.

It should be noted that in today’s meeting of the Art Council, the seventh section of the national music document titled “Executive Requirements” was reviewed by the council members.

In a part of this document, it is stated: The responsibility for the implementation of the national music document rests with the specialized committee of this document, which will be called the National Music Council of the country after this. This committee is chaired by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the members of this committee include the Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Arts, the Deputy Minister of Broadcasting, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education, representatives and professors of seminaries, directors of three music institutions in the country, including the Ministry’s Music Office. Islamic culture and guidance is the music center of the art field and the music office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization. Five representatives from among the trade unions, academics and prominent figures in the field of music will be among the other members of this council at the suggestion of the Minister of Culture.
