Seyyed Soulat Mortazavi, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, says about workers’ housing: the first step of worker’s housing was started from Mashhad in the new city of Golbahar with the implementation of about 2 thousand housing units for workers, and the construction of 20 thousand housing units for workers The workers have started. Construction of residential units has also started in Sistan and Baluchistan, and we are trying to put the construction of more housing units for workers on the agenda.

Mortazavi also pointed to a memorandum of understanding that was recently signed with the Islamic Azad University for the construction of housing, and said: Based on this memorandum, a hundred thousand residential units will be built and delivered by the housing cooperatives for the employees and the Azad University in a 2.5-year program.

He also said about the memorandum of understanding that was signed for the construction of 200,000 housing units for workers: a memorandum was signed during the time of the former minister with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, during which it was decided that 200,000 housing units for workers would be built by cooperative housing companies; Also, in a memorandum of understanding with Tehran Municipality, 5 thousand residential units in dilapidated structures will be renovated and handed over to the people.

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare stated: By the end of the year, one thousand residential units for workers in Sistan and Baluchistan will be put into operation.
