According to the Mehr news agency, Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke by telephone on Tuesday about bilateral cooperation and regional issues.

“Today, I had an important conversation with my friend and colleague, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, about US-Israeli coordination in the face of Iran’s regional activities and nuclear ambitions,” the Israeli war minister wrote in a Twitter message.

“We have agreed to meet soon for more in-depth consultations on strategic issues and military cooperation,” he said.
