Determining the area and proposing the protection of the ancient hill of Bazneh
According to the Aria Heritage report, quoted from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Central Province, Hossein Mahmoudi said: Before starting the upcoming field activity in order to determine the area and propose the protection of the ancient hill of Bazneh in 2008, it has been placed in the list of national monuments under the registration number 27801.
Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: This relatively large hill is located in Bazneh neighborhood within Shahbaz city in Shazand city.
Mahmoudi stated: With the rapid expansion of the city of Shahbaz in the Hadi plan, the lands adjacent to the historical hill and its location have led to the formation of a fundamental threat in the direction of determining the assignment of the field and destroying the privacy of this valuable historical and cultural work.
He pointed out: with the approval of this General Directorate and the permission of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of the country, a speculative operation was carried out in a period of one month in order to determine the area and propose the boundary of Tepe Bazneh under the supervision of Dr. Alireza Gudarzifar and the supervision of this General Directorate. A total of 9 boreholes were created around the hill and the area and boundaries of the hill were determined.
The deputy director of cultural heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts said: All the efforts of the archaeological team were to take into account the location of the hill among agricultural lands on the one hand and also the expansion of the residential context towards the site of the site on the other hand, with the greatest interaction with the municipality, the residents and local farmers, while doing a targeted and accurate archaeological work and preventing the imposition of the least cost and damage to the work, the best result should be done in line with the explanation and drawing of the lines of the field and privacy according to the boreholes created.
