Emphasis on Iraqi-UAE relations during bin Zayed’s meeting with Barzani
According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nicherwan Barzani, and the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammad bin Zayed, met on Friday (yesterday) in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.
According to the website of the Rodavont network, during the meeting, which took place at the hotel where Ben Zayed was staying, the two sides exchanged views on the development of mutual relations in all fields and efforts and cooperation to develop security and stability in the region.
The issue of the upcoming elections in Iraq and the political situation in Iraq, as well as the capacities of economic cooperation between the UAE and Iraqi Kurdistan, and the content of their meeting with the British Prime Minister were discussed during the meeting.
The head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nichervan Barzani, left for Britain on Wednesday last week and returned to Erbil on Friday. He met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.
The new British Consul General in Erbil, David Hunt, also met last Monday with Massoud Barzani, the leader of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party.
