Execution of 320 complex police operations in 48 hours / arrest of 786 robbers

According to Fars News Agency’s disciplinary correspondent, Sardar Hossein Rahimi, the capital’s disciplinary commander, told reporters on the sidelines of the implementation of the fourth phase of the “Kashif” plan, which was held with the participation of the Greater Tehran Prevention Police and the Greater Tehran Intelligence Police. Considering that burglary is one of the serious concerns of citizens, in this regard, in the last 48 hours, two groups of preventive police and the Greater Tehran Intelligence Police have carried out 320 coordinated operations to deal with burglars.

The capital’s police commander stated: In this plan, necessary measures were taken by carrying out 320 complex and violent operations not only in Tehran but also against thieves who had robbed in Tehran but left Tehran and went to other parts of the country.

He said: 786 burglars were arrested in this operation and over 720 burglaries have been discovered so far; Also, more than 1,000 items of stolen people’s property, from all kinds of household items to money and gold, were discovered in this operation, and the types of gold discovered at this stage of the project weighed over 30 kilograms.

Rahimi added: “Also, over 100 expensive and valuable watches have been discovered and confiscated.”

The Greater Tehran Police Chief pointed to other discoveries and stated: In this project, 20 laptops and more than 100 mobile phones were seized, as well as more than 80 TV sets, 50 exquisite silk rugs and about 40 panels of various types. And all kinds of exquisite and expensive paintings are other discoveries of this stage of Kashif design.

The Greater Tehran Police Chief stated: In the joint plan of the Greater Tehran Preventive Police and the Greater Tehran Intelligence Police, large quantities of rhinestones, antique and precious utensils, clothes, tools, as well as important documents such as identity card, marriage certificate, house certificate and… were seized. But what is clear in the confessions of the thieves and their attention is the discovery of significant amounts of currency and gold.

The Greater Tehran Police Chief announced: In this plan, 320 operations were carried out, 107 gangs of thieves were destroyed, and up to 63% of these arrested people had a record.

Sardar Rahimi stated: 21 operations were carried out during the robbery of the thieves, and these people also clashed with the police, and the police dealt with these people authoritatively; Some of the clashes were armed, which was accompanied by police shootings, and the police were able to arrest and arrest these people.

He addressed the issue of mules and said: “In this plan, 30 major mules who bought stolen property from thieves were identified and arrested;” Unfortunately, there were also people among the mules, including gold sellers, carpet sellers, and so on. Sardar Rahimi pointed out: With the increase of specialized police and using the power of intelligence units, we have seriously entered the field in the fight against theft and we will not spare the thieves; Thieves who rob in Tehran know that wherever they go in Tehran, we will follow them, as if perhaps about 30% of the 320 operations in the plan, in other provinces, even border cities to arrest thieves.
