From north to south, for the flag of Iran / Why are we unaware of the flag of our country?

According to the visual correspondent of Fars News Agency, the press conference of the artistic event “Iranian flag is high” with the focus on the Iranian flag with the presence of Ali Forouzanfar Director of Tehran Province Arts Center and Morteza Alaei The director of Mahd House was held this morning (Tuesday, January 17) at the Arts Center.

At the beginning of the meeting, Forouzanfar said: In the “Iran Flag is High” event, 6 masters in the field of visual arts will work together with artists around the Iranian flag for 3 days and the products will be practical products. This event is not limited to Tehran and artists from all over the country are participating in it. The works produced in the event will be displayed in the form of a headboard, a car pendant and a flag in the celebration of the Bahman 22 march.

He added: “From the day the idea was proposed to be implemented, we had little time and more than 100 artists registered, of which 40 artists were accepted and we announced that the capacity was full.” The union house on Lalehzar Street is provided to host the event. On Thursday, it is also possible to visit the product production process.

The director of the Tehran Art Center said: “We have an artistic flow and an objective appearance extracted from this event.” The effect and output of this event is the use of the Iranian flag. If this path is empirical, it can be reproduced at any other event or product. It is true that the Resistance Art Festival has flags and inscriptions, but thousands of artists and collections create works, and the entry of one artist and collection into another does not prevent others from entering.

In response to a question about their second collaboration with Mahd House, Forouzanfar said: “We have had two consecutive press conferences with Mahd Collection by chance.” This is not the reason for the memorandum, it is a memorandum of understanding, and we had one of the least points of contact with the Mahd collection, and God willing, we will continue it. Because we were satisfied with the previous event (Umm al-Maqawamah), we entered the second cooperation.

Alaei, the director of Mahd House, said in this meeting: Where is the place of the Iranian flag in the life of the Iranian people? One of the most oppressed national symbols is the flag of our country in the lives of the people. Even a quality flag that can be used at the entrance to the house, its lack is felt. I feel that if we Iranians close our eyes and say Iran, the flag is the second category that comes to our minds and architectural symbols come to mind sooner than the flag. The “Iranian flag is high” event is trying to eliminate this shortcoming.

He added: “This event is not looking for artistic shows and shows, it is output-oriented and its products will be produced in functional, decorative, personal and child accessories.” God willing, the products of this event will reach the people from this Fajr decade. In this event, from Behbahan in the south of Iran to Sari in the north of Iran, we have an artist. God willing, in the future, it will happen that we will use the capacities abroad in our national event.

Alaei explained to what extent Mahd House, as a private complex, incorporates the economics of art in its activities: Mahd is a private enterprise and exchanges the design of a model in the economy of culture and art. In the last 10 years, we have not even had a partnership with any government body. The Umm al-Muqawamah event was Mahd’s first collaborative event with non-private organizations. Of course, it has costs, but the purpose of “Umm al-Maqawma” was not to return costs, it was an artistic event, and for the first time, 30 artists created works in Utbah Hosseini. The shrine officials were very positive and requested that the event be repeated with the presence of Iraqi artists. His products were lavish and turned into city billboards.

He continued: “But the flag event has a different output and a public view of the product. The goal is to design the product and have an economic return for us and the participants.” I believe this cycle will be a successful one and it will pay off. This modeling is valuable. The event “The flag of Iran is high” from “Umm al-Maqawma” is important for me personally and my heart burns for the oppression of the flag of Minham. The national flag is a great identity and we want to shed light on its importance in the hearts of our compatriots. Why are the flags so prominent in Turkey, Canada and the United States, but we are unaware of our country’s flag? The national flag is a big umbrella under which we all sit.

The director of the “Flag of Iran Ballast” art event said: “We have two considerations in this event; One is the production template and the other is the product content template. In terms of concepts, the Iranian flag has design limitations due to the presence of the word Allah in the middle and margin. We have also considered national and mythical symbols and consider its combination for use.

At the end of the three-day workshop, Alaei introduced the “Flag of Iran Ballast” workshop: in painting and miniature by Asad Faghihi, in calligraphy by Nasser Tavousi, in graphics and design by Hamed Maghrouri, Saber Sheikh Rezaei and in the production process of Momivand, the master of art is present in the workshop . The professors are from different cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad and Qom and have been selected in such a way as to meet all the needs of the students in the workshop.
