WABetainfo says that a few weeks after a new feature was added to WhatsApp that allows users to listen to voice messages at different playback speeds, the company is now developing another new voice messaging feature. This new feature allows users to listen to received voice or text messages even after leaving the chat page. This is what millions of WhatsApp users around the world have been waiting for!

WhatsApp has decided to choose the name “Global Voice Message Player” for this feature; Because this section will be pinned to the top of the application and when you enter any chat page or settings, you will see it stuck at the top of the page. Users can skip or stop playing a voice message at any time.

How to display a global voice message player on WhatsApp

This feature is suitable for users who typically receive long voicemails. In such cases, users can listen to the sender’s voice message in the background as they send messages to other users.

This feature has been discovered among the code snippets of the WhatsApp trial version on the iOS platform. However, WABetainfo says that this feature will also be available to users of the Android version of WhatsApp messengers. The Facebook-owned company is currently working on developing its global voice message player and will soon make it available to millions of WhatsApp users around the world.

Send disappearing messages on WhatsApp

WABetainfo also reported yesterday that WhatsApp is going to make new features related to disappearing messages available to its users. This new feature is called “New Durations and Default Timer” and allows users to better manage their disappearing messages. The first option that allows users to control the ephemeral duration of the message. Previously, the messages disappeared after 7 days. But now it is up to the user to choose the time period to hide. Users will be able to set this interval to 24 hours, 7 days or even 90 days.

The second option is to create a default timer for messages. A user can enable this feature by going to WhatsApp privacy settings. After activation, it will set the same time for the disappearing messages of all its chats.
