Good news for nurses until next week

According to Fars News Agency’s health correspondent, Mohammad Mirzabeigi, head of the Nursing Organization, said in a press conference referring to the martyrdom of more than 150 nurses during the Corona: “We should have 2.5 nurses per bed, ie 1.8 tenths of the staff.” We have a university and 7 tenths of non-professional staff, but now we are far from the required standard.

Referring to the measures taken to recruit nursing staff, he said: “We have hired more than 50,000 health workers in total, of which about 50% were related to nurses, and now the recruitment process is ongoing.”

Mirzabeigi said: “There was a very special discussion and the increase of the tenth chapter of the Civil Service Law, but it is extremely special and hard work is being pursued.”

The head of the Nursing Organization, noting that other countries are looking for Iranian nurses a lot, said: “We do not have the right to intervene to tell you not to go, but we must provide the necessary facilities.”

Criticizing the actions of the 89 nurses’ contract, Mirzabeigi said: “May God guide the one who founded this issue.”

He said: “We ask the government and the Ministry of Health to collect 89 nurses and deal with it.”

The head of the General Nursing System emphasized: “Employment priority is with the forces that were active in contracts, projects and companies during the Corona period, and no contract should be less than one year.”

In response to a Fars reporter’s question about the most important good news for nurses on the eve of Nurses’ Day, Mirzabeigi said: “Nurses will hear good news by Monday next week.”

Mirzabeigi said that the insurance companies benefited from the issue of corona, adding: “We will follow the tariffs for nursing services until it is implemented and this law will be implemented.”

Regarding nurses’ salaries, he reminded: “What is at stake is paid work, and nowhere in the world is there much difference between the salary of a nurse and a doctor, and it is determined by the implementation of the law on tariffs in the field of work.”

The head of the Nursing System Organization added: “The number of nurses’ workload has decreased and the payment delay has increased, and there is a difference in the field of payroll work.”

Mirzabeigi, referring to the Nursing Commemoration Week, noted: اینThis week’s ceremony will continue from Wednesday of this week to Tuesday of next week.
