Identification of 194 definite cases of Omicron in the country / emphasis on honoring the client in medical centers

According to Fars News Agency’s Health Group, Saeed Karimi, Deputy Minister of Health, in a press conference, referring to the passage of two years of the Corona pandemic in the country, said: “Our goal is the excellence of the services we provide and our priority is everyone’s access to health services.”

Emphasizing on prioritizing needs, Karimi stated: “We have limited resources and we must have optimal efficiency of resources.” Therefore, processes must be modified and having information is very important. That is, the data must reach us up to date to make a decision. We are far from justice in health. Therefore, we have to eliminate deprivation and the treatment document has been written and we have checked whether we have achieved the goals of the document or not. Therefore, we have written separate documents for deprived and very deprived provinces.

He emphasized on honoring the client and said: “We will leave this issue in the body of the deputy director of treatment.”

Karimi went on to point out the readiness of hospitals to deal with the flu and omicron, adding: “The number of outpatients with suspected coronary heart disease is about 1,250 a day and we have not seen a significant increase.” In the case of hospitalizations, there were about 5,800 patients and we did not have an increase. There are about 1400 patients in the ICU.

“In the case of omicrons, the number of cases has increased and today it has reached 194 definite cases and is increasing,” he said. We are concerned about the increase in cases of omicrons, because the rate of transmission of this strain is more intense. Therefore, injecting a third dose of corona vaccine can be effective in preventing omicron infection. We hope we do not get into the next peak, but the hospitals are on standby.

Regarding e-prescribing, the Deputy Minister of Health said: “There are definitely problems, but these problems will be solved gradually.”

Karimi pointed to the increase in the number of flu cases among patients referred to hospitals and added: “Currently, there are no signs of combined diseases.”

Regarding the shortage of doctors in deprived areas of the country, the Deputy Minister of Health said: “The necessary facilities must be provided for doctors to stay in deprived areas.” That is, to make a specialist doctor go to deprived areas with his own consent after his commitment period.
