Ali Amrayi, a member of the Transparency and Justice Watch Training Commission, in an interview with a Fars News Agency health reporter, said about the Ministry of Health’s measures to increase medical capacity: This issue does not meet the needs of the country’s treatment and health, and we needed to increase capacity, both in the admission of general practitioners and in the specialization course.

He said: “Officials at the time of the discussion of increasing capacity were announcing that there is no proper infrastructure and this issue was repeated for several consecutive years, in this regard, it was decided to increase capacity to force the Ministry of Health to build infrastructure. The monopoly of physicians was one of the reasons for the opposition, and we have repeatedly stressed that the existence of monopoly in medical sciences must be broken.

A member of the Transparency and Justice Guard Commission said that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution has approved this resolution and the Principle 90 Commission seeks to increase the capacity of medical disciplines, adding: “The Ministry of Health has no choice but to implement the law. Has increased to 9600 people and this capacity should be increased by 20% annually.

Amrayi added: “With this increase in capacity, the shortcomings will not be eliminated, but we will be closer to developing countries in terms of medical capacity, but medical and laboratory facilities must be expanded along with this increase in physicians.” In a good move, the PBO has agreed to provide funding for the necessary infrastructure, that is, budgets to prepare infrastructure such as laboratories, classrooms, and faculty costs as capacity increases. The increase in capacity is definite, and from this year’s entrance exam we will have 9,600 medical capacity, except for dental and pharmaceutical capacity, which means that the success rate of experimental field candidates for admission in medicine will increase, but the issue of increasing dentistry and pharmacy is not in this resolution.
