The Deputy Head of the Judiciary and the Head of the State Property and Deeds Registration Organization, referring to the issue of foreign WIPO offices and recalling the decision of the 33rd meeting of the Program and Budget Committee to prepare a preliminary draft of the mechanisms for establishing these offices, took this step one step further. In this regard, he added: “We believe that the mechanisms for the establishment of these offices should be in the form of a government-oriented process and in full compliance with the guiding principles governing the establishment of foreign WIPO offices.”
This year’s meeting of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization will continue for 5 days at the headquarters of the organization in Geneva, during which the WIPO specialized committees will report to the General Assembly and decide on the issues on the agenda.
It should be noted that the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization is held every year with the presence of all member countries of this organization and with the aim of decision-making and policy-making on important global issues in the field of intellectual property.
