The Precision 7770 and 7670 offer the perfect experience to their customers with the latest innovations in cooling, a professional GPU, and the use of Intel’s twelfth generation of powerful processors.
Meet the new generation of Dell Precision series laptops
The purpose of these products is to perform heavy processing and work with professional software, design complex geometries and analytical programs. Dell has used high-end hardware specs for its newest members of the Precision 7000 family, including a 16-core Alder Lake HX processor, RTX 30 Ti graphics card and 16GB of VRAM. The manufacturer has also used workstation cards such as RTX A5500 in this series, which we will discuss in more detail below.
Let’s start with the introduction of the family’s flagship model, the Precision 17 laptop; Dell has used a wide range of Intel Alder Lake HX series processors (from Core i5 to Core i9) with a maximum thermal power of 55 watts. Also, in the graphics card section, the manufacturer has gone for the RTX 3080 Ti 16 GB and the RTX A5500 16 GB workstation model.
In the RAM section, users can access up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM (CAMM module) or 64 GB of RAM (SODIMM module). The manufacturer has also provided 4 NVMe slots (PCIe Gen 4) in this laptop through which you can access up to 16 terabytes of storage space.
Technical specifications of Precision 7770 laptop
The Precision 7770 is equipped with a 17.3-inch display in two versions, including the 1080p 60Hz refresh panel and the 12060Hz 2160p update panel. Support for HDR400 certification and a brightness of 500 nits can bring you sharp, clear and sharp images. The manufacturer has used recycled plastic to design the body of the device, although the chassis is made of aluminum.
In terms of input and output ports, this product has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.0a + HDMI 2.1 and an RJ-45 Ethernet port with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. . Laptop Precision 7670
The next model is dedicated to the Precision 7670 laptop; This product, like the Precision 7770, uses the same specifications as the CPU and graphics card. However, its other specifications are somewhat different from the flagship model of this family. The display of this laptop is 16 inches and has a total of 3 M.2 slots with the ability to support up to 12 terabytes of storage space. The brightness of the screen will be between 250 and 400 nits depending on the display (1080p or 2160p).
This product has the same body design as the 17-inch version, and in the cooling section, it uses a large heatsink with dual fans so that its efficiency is not encountered during heavy activities.
CAMM module
As mentioned above, Dell has used a CAMM memory module for its latest workstation laptop, which allows the manufacturer to design a thinner chassis for its products without compromising overall system performance. According to Dell, the module is up to 57% thinner than traditional RAMs based on the SODIMM module and can support up to 128 GB of memory.
In addition to the two products mentioned above, Dell will launch another laptop called the Precision 5470 called the 25th Anniversary Edition to mark the 25th anniversary of the Precision brand. These products are expected to be available during the second half of 2022 (possibly May or June).
