New details of car imports / import permits for 70,000 cars were issued

According to Tejarat News, the MPs had agreed to import cars in the past few days during the review of the 1401 budget. Now, in today’s public meeting, Saturday (March 5), they have added Additional Clause 1, Note 7 to this decree.

As IRNA According to the report, “Mehrdad Goodarzvand Chegini” proposed a general amendment in this note and said: “In this note, the issue of car import license and becoming competitive is discussed. This license should create the ground for making car manufacturing competitive in the country.”

He added: “One of the issues that has not been addressed in this import is the issue of trucks, and the import of refrigerated trucks should be considered in this note.”

Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani, in proposing the removal of the total in this comment, said: “This issue will have at least five billion dollars of foreign exchange output for the country and will cause problems for the country.”

The representative of the people of Qom stated: We are not satisfied with the performance of car manufacturers. The President of the Republic also emphasized on quality in his recent visit to car manufacturers and that we should think about importing cars.

He added: the parliament did not enact a law banning the import of cars. The government itself has decided not to import the car. The government can liberalize car imports. If the parliament liberalizes car imports, the Guardian Council and the Recognition Council will oppose it again. What happens is that the price of a foreign car goes down and investors buy a car. As a result, prices rise again. Let the parliament not decide on this.

What does the parliamentary resolution say?

Pursuant to Additional Clause 1- In order to finance the country’s railway network and create the required railway lines, including regular, electric, high-speed and urban trains, and to complete semi-finished projects on railways and road construction, repair accident hotspots on roads. The development of the transport culture and the promotion of the management of the transit fleet are allowed to the government in 1401, in accordance with the general policies of the system regarding the issuance of import licenses by the private sector, including natural and legal persons from the place. Imported items are:

1- 50,000 passenger cars and 20,000 dual-fuel cars (hybrid and electric)

2- The number of 10,000 trucks, trailers, refrigerated and lethal trailers

3- 10,000 suburban and inner city buses

4- 1,000 wagons and refrigerated wagons

5- 5,000 units of heavy machinery for mines and road construction, including new construction or a maximum of five years of construction

Deposit resources come from the location of tables and cost lines related to consumption.
