According to Fars news agency’s health group, Seyed Reza Ramezani Yasouj, a member of the Supreme Council of the Nursing System, while answering the most important questions raised in the field of nursing regarding the employment status of nurses, said: One of the issues that really hurts patients and the health community is the lack of staff. One nurse should be present for each critical patient in each shift, but now this issue is not implemented in hospitals, and one of the factors that cause the death of patients in ICU and NECU is the lack of staff.
He continued: The President, Speaker of the Parliament, Employment Affairs Organization, etc., all talk about this, and the nursing system is not the decision-maker in hiring nurses, and others want to make a decision in this regard. The president, who is the highest executive authority in the country, orders to hire nurses, the speaker of the parliament, who is one of the highest officials in the country, says this, but still no one pays attention.
Ramezani considered the way out of this situation to be the consensus of the officials and said: In my opinion, the institutions that are influential in the recruitment of nurses should gather together and examine the chaotic medical situation in the country and then hire the necessary personnel.
In response to the question, do nurses of the plan who worked in hospitals and served patients during the Corona period also have to take an exam to be recruited? He said: The nurses who served during the Corona period have passed their exams and I believe there is no need for them to take exams. We expect the authorities to hire and employ these nurses without an exam.
This member of the Supreme Council of the Nursing System criticized that the role of health martyrs and their self-sacrificing families has not yet been determined and said: A large number of health groups have been hurt in the past two to three years and should be included among the self-sacrificing ones.
Ramezani added: We have a group of health workers who are unable to continue working due to the problems that have arisen during the peak of the Corona virus, or even have been confined to their homes due to the injuries they have suffered. There are those who have been damaged but continue to work.
He continued: “We have lost a number of health workers at the height of the Corona virus, who are the martyrs of our health, a group of them have been appointed and some of them have not yet been assigned, and we expect the assignment of the families of these loved ones to be determined soon.”
A member of the Supreme Council of the Nursing System, regarding the latest news regarding the change in the status of the corporate forces, said: During the Nurses’ Day celebration, when we arrived in the presence of the supreme leader, he said to specify the duties of the corporate forces, and the president emphasized this issue and stated that he intends to remove corporate contracts, but unfortunately, the administrative and employment affairs organization does not pay attention to the president’s words and does not implement them.
Ramezani pointed out: The leader of the revolution said that the people who were in the 89-day plan should be recruited, but the forces that were used to overcome the crisis during the Corona period were easily dismissed, which is unfair.
He clarified: Despite the Supreme Leader of the Revolution’s emphasis on determining the duties of planned and corporate nurses, unfortunately, after two years have passed, the duties of these forces have not yet been determined.
A member of the Supreme Council of the Nursing System, one of the issues that has been neglected and should be raised and paid more attention to is the issue of the employment status of veterans and said: We have troops who were hired 20 years ago or even earlier on a contract basis and still They are working, it is not a good thing for the country that someone has been working in the same system for so many years, but his employment is still on a contract basis, these forces lose many privileges under contract conditions.
Ramezani further mentioned and emphasized the issue of the status of charitable hospitals: the points that are considered for changing the status of nurses in government hospitals should also be considered for charitable hospitals and teaching and research hospitals that are not affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences.
Another issue that this member of the Supreme Council of the Nursing System criticized was the salary base of nurses and said: The base salary of nurses should be increased. Nurses are exposed to thousands of diseases, and due to work pressure, standing a lot, and high volume of work, after a while, they suffer from back pain, leg pain, etc., and the salaries of nurses should also be manipulated. Also, most of the organizations and institutions have comfort facilities for their employees, for nurses, comfort facilities in different cities should be considered at reasonable prices.
