Preparation of sports complexes in the capital until the end of June

According to Fars report, Zahra Shams-Ehsan stated that last year due to wear and tear of sports spaces and equipment, the activity of around 50 sports complexes was stopped, and said: These spaces were out of the cycle of providing sports services to citizens.

The head of the Sports Committee of Tehran City Council also stated: Considering the appropriate credits by the Council in the 1402 budget of Tehran Municipality and the continuous follow-ups carried out by the municipality and especially the sports organization, these complexes have been equipped and renovated with the participation of the private sector. They will be ready to serve the citizens before the summer season.

Stating that a large number of these complexes have now returned to the service cycle, he reminded: with the funds considered, other sports complexes are also being equipped and renovated in order to provide better quality services to the citizens.

Shams-Ehsan also noted: In addition, the necessary funds and credits have been given to the municipalities of the 22 regions and the sports organization so that they can implement various sports competitions and recreational-sports festivals for the citizens.

A member of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, regarding the status of the 22 regions of the municipality in terms of sports per capita, said: The studies conducted in Tehran metropolis on the levels and per capita of sports indicate that there is a gap between the existing realities and the needs of the people in There is a long distance in relation to sports spaces.

He added: Although the statistics obtained from the sports space per capita in 2014, which is about 1.72 square meters for each person, is lower compared to the ideal global per capita, but compared to Tehran’s comprehensive plan, which is equal to 1.82 meters. The square was determined for each person, it has had relatively favorable conditions.

Shams-Ehsan emphasized: This desirability does not mean that all regions benefit from a favorable amount of sports per capita; Because the improper distribution and distribution of sports space in the city of Tehran has hindered their optimal use by some citizens.

He stated that some areas of Tehran metropolis have a high sports per capita, and stated: This has caused these areas to approach or reach global standards in terms of sports space per capita.

The head of the sports committee of the Tehran Islamic Council announced that based on the results of the mentioned research in 16 regions of Tehran, the per capita sports spaces are lower than the average per capita proposed by the comprehensive plan of the city of Tehran. It has been done fairly.

He stated that regions 9, 14, 15, 21 and 22 have favorable per capita sports compared to other regions, he said: per capita sports facilities in regions 2, 3, 4, 16, 18, 19 and 20 are acceptable and regions 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 17, which often have compact texture and high population density, are facing a lack of sports space.
