According to Fars news agency, Habibreza Arzani, Iran’s cultural adviser in Malaysia, Siddajid Pourahmadi, CEO of the Art Credit Fund, and Saeed Tawakkel, a member of the board of directors of this fund, visited the studios and various departments of the Finas complex yesterday (October 18) with the head and vice president of the National Film Development Center. Malaysia (FINAS) and the relevant officials in the international field, marketing and broadcasting of this country’s cinema met and discussed.

Establishing inter-festival collaborations, joint productions of films and animations, using cinema spaces and expanding the interactions between cinema activists of the two countries were among the most important topics of our country’s cultural advisor’s conversation with Malaysian cinema directors.

In this meeting, Arzani, while expressing his satisfaction with the presence of Malaysian cinematographers in the Fajr Film Festival, also mentioned the Malaysian Film Festival as one of the prestigious festivals in Southeast Asia and said: the effective presence of Iranian and Malaysian cinematographers in the production of joint cinematographic works. And further cooperation will play a significant role in strengthening the cultural interactions of the two countries.

Stating that there are many cultural platforms between the two countries, he said: Many Iranians are interested in joint investment and activities in this field, but the realization of this important thing requires facilitation of banking affairs by the banking system of Malaysia.

Referring to the oppressive sanctions against our country, Iran’s cultural advisor in Malaysia said: the banking environment in Malaysia should be a good and favorable environment in such a way that by reducing the strictures caused by the sanctions, the Malaysian side will improve this environment and create the necessary incentives for Iranian investors. help.

He also considered the economy of cinema as one of the important issues in the conduct of film relations with Malaysia and emphasized the creation of a direct flight from Tehran to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa as one of the necessary platforms to create an atmosphere of cooperation and the presence of investors and filmmakers from the two countries.

One of the most important topics raised in this meeting was the creation of platforms and necessary agreements for the artists and filmmakers of the two countries to benefit from movie locations, old and historical buildings, and studio spaces in the form of a joint memorandum between Finas and the film organization of our country.

In this regard, Dr. Arzani also met and talked with Brant Palari, a well-known Malaysian director, producer and actor who has been the secretary of the Malaysian International Film Festival for several years, at the cultural consultation center of our country.

Discussion and exchange of opinions regarding the production of a joint film between Iran and Malaysia with a dialogue in various cultural, artistic and cinematic dimensions and by setting a 10-day deadline for announcing the final plan, the financial estimates of the parties and the percentage of investment, considering that one of the investors is a credit fund. The art and cultural consultation of our country will be in Malaysia, it was held in this meeting.

Our country’s cultural consultant in Malaysia continued yesterday (October 18) by attending the Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies of Malaysia “IAIS”, with Professor Mazli bin Malik, the head of the board of directors of this center, and Professor Azman, the director of this center and one of the university professors and well-known figures. Malaysia met and discussed the development and strengthening of joint cooperation.

In this intimate meeting that lasted for 4 hours, considering the cultural commonalities of the two countries and the rich culture of Islamic Iran; Various topics related to joint cooperation in the field of film, series, animation and documentary production as well as Iranian food festival were discussed.
