According to the police reporter of Fars news agency, it was on the 13th of Farvardin that Tehran police announced the arrest of the perpetrator of an armed robbery of a bank in Tehran 24 hours after the incident.
Detective Colonel Saadaleh Ghazafi, deputy of the Capital Intelligence Police, explained the details of the news: On Wednesday, April 9, 1402, with the occurrence of an armed robbery at one of the branches of Eindah Bank in Tovanir district of Tehran, the officers of the 125th police station of Yousef Abad went to the place and in the preliminary investigations It was found that an armed person, while entering the bank with the threat of an air weapon, fired several shots and destroyed a number of windows inside the bank and finally stole a large amount of cash (more than 50 million Rials) inside one of the counters. A bank has fled from the place, and after being informed about the armed robbery, the detectives of this base arrived at the third base of Greater Tehran Police and investigated the bank employee and also checked the CCTV cameras inside the bank.
In his statement to the detectives, the bank employee told the detectives: “It was a few days ago that I had published an advertisement for the sale of two gold coins of All Bahar Azadi on one of the platforms for buying and selling goods; Someone called me and claimed that he was going to buy the coins and I gave him my work address to sell the coins. It was around 12 o’clock when a 45-year-old man wearing a hat came to the bank and introduced himself to the cashier where I was working, but this person’s face was like He stopped me from selling coins; When I told him that I don’t intend to sell my coins, he suddenly took out a handgun from under his clothes and while firing a few shots inside the bank and destroying some of the windows, he stole some of the cash inside the cash register with the threat of a gun. He quickly fled the place on a motorcycle.
Detective Colonel Ghazafi, regarding the police actions of the detectives of the third base of the Intelligence Police in order to identify the suspect, said: the detectives succeeded in identifying a criminal with a history of committing various crimes by carefully examining the CCTV images and other police actions. In several theft cases, he was arrested and sent to prison. After identifying the accused’s hiding place in Khak Sefid area in the east of Tehran, the detectives went to the accused’s hiding place in coordination with the head of the Special Theft Prosecutor’s Office (Tehran’s 34th Prosecutor’s Office) and during the inspection of the accused’s hiding place, they found a hat. It was discovered that it was used in theft and it was found that the accused fled from this place after committing the theft.
He pointed out that the accused intended to leave the country after escaping from his hiding place, and added: With the continuation of police actions, the detectives found out that the accused intended to cross one of the land borders of the country in West Azarbaijan province – Piranshahr city. to leave the country illegally, the necessary arrangements were immediately made with the Piranshahr Intelligence Police, and finally the accused was arrested in less than 24 hours from the time of the theft in Tehran, on Thursday, the 10th of April 1402, at the zero point of the border and only a few tens of meters He was arrested before leaving the country.
It should be noted that the accused was handed over to the Third Base of the Greater Tehran Intelligence Police after his arrest and transfer to Tehran, and today the scene of the robbery was reconstructed in the presence of the judicial officer, the accused and the media at the Aindeh Bank branch on Tovanir Street.
