A US official reacted to remarks by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Mehr news agency reported, quoting AFP.

According to the report, the US official on Monday, without mentioning his country’s readiness to fulfill its obligations under the UN Security Council, claimed that Washington was ready for “direct direct talks” with Iran.

He added: “The American side sends messages in various ways, asking for a level of direct negotiations with Iran.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country continued: “Our negotiations are with the P5 + 1 and the indirect negotiations with the United States are through NonPaper and through Enrique Mora and one or two member states of the UN Security Council in Vienna.”

Amir Abdullahian stated: “What is sometimes published on some virtual channels that the Iranians are negotiating directly with the Americans is not true at all, but at the same time, if we reach a stage in the negotiation process that reaches a good agreement with a high guarantee, If it requires a level of dialogue with the United States, we will not ignore it.
