Remove fake apps from 8 Iranian banks from Google Play

Colonel Ramin Pashaei announced the release of a fake version of the mobile bank of eight banks on Google Play and said: cybercriminals in a new action by designing and sending fake software of Saderat, Keshavarzi and Sepah banks and five other banks in Google Play software, intend to misuse the account They had a bank of citizens, which FATA police experts noticed during their observations as well as receiving public reports.

Pashaei asked citizens to use in-house service software to install their financial and banking software, as FATA police can more easily access Iranian software and operators, so it is recommended to avoid such risks. Let people use internal software and app stores.

“It is also necessary for users to enter the full URL of the banks in their browser to install this software, as this measure can largely prevent the tricks of profiteers,” said the social deputy of the FATA NAJA police. In addition, users should be careful to avoid installing software that moves in channels, etc.

He also warned the banks and said: ‌ First of all, we ask the banks and the CEOs of the banks to monitor these spaces and in case of encountering fake software, be sure to inform the police. Secondly, it is necessary for the banks whose fake software has been detected to inform their customers and users so that if they have used such software, they can delete it. It is also necessary for users to change their password and bank card password after removing the fake software.
